The National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has taken a swipe at former President John Dramani Mahama, describing him as a “reckless speaker” who falls short of the stature expected of a former president and statesman. According to Salam Mustapha, Mr. Mahama’s public utterances lack the decorum and unifying tone befitting a leader of his caliber.

In contrast, he praised Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his statesmanship and unifying rhetoric, stating that Dr. Bawumia exemplifies the qualities of a true national leader. Salam Mustapha further argued that the NPP, under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, has consistently outperformed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in all sectors of governance.

“Dr. Bawumia speaks like a unifier and a statesman, unlike John Mahama, who often sounds divisive and reckless. The NPP’s track record speaks for itself, and the people of Ghana will reward us massively in the December 7 elections,” he remarked.

Speaking on the mid-afternoon program Bugum Beni on Tolon Radio, hosted by Mohammed Shaharan Suhuyini, Salam Mustapha highlighted what he described as significant strides made by the NPP government in the security sector. He pointed out the recruitment of more personnel into the security services and the procurement of modern equipment to enhance their operations.

He added, “Under the NPP government, we have invested heavily in the security sector, ensuring the safety of Ghanaians and improving the conditions of our security personnel. These achievements are unmatched by the NDC.”

Salam Mustapha expressed optimism that the electorate would recognize the competence and achievements of the NPP, especially under Dr. Bawumia’s stewardship, and deliver a resounding victory in the upcoming elections.

The NPP National Youth Organizer’s remarks come amidst heightened political debates as the country gears up for the December 7 elections, with both the NPP and NDC vying to convince Ghanaians of their readiness to lead.
