The Tolon District office of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has donated 20 mattresses and 20 blankets to Tolon Senior High School following a recent fire outbreak that disrupted academic activities on campus.

Speaking in an interview on Tolon Radio, on Sunday night, the District Director, Muniru Mohammed Sadat, explained that although the items are not enough to meet the needs of all affected students, they represent an emergency intervention to provide immediate relief to those who lost their belongings.

He admitted that the support falls short of the overall demand but stressed that it is a temporary measure to ease the burden on the school while efforts are underway to mobilize additional assistance for full recovery. He assured the school authorities of NADMO’s continued collaboration and monitoring of the situation to provide further support where necessary.

Mr. Sadat also revealed that the district office previously distributed food items to some residents in the Tolon District as part of interventions to support individuals affected by last year’s drought. He urged the public to promptly report emergencies to enable swift and effective response.
