A former Chief Executive of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, Musah Superior, is urging the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to publish the Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye Report on the party’s defeat in the 2024 elections.
Mr. Superior believes making the report public will end what he describes as false claims and misleading narratives about why the party lost the polls.
In a statement, he said the document contains the facts and recommendations needed to guide the NPP’s rebuilding process and prevent individuals from twisting the truth for their own purposes.
According to Mr Superior, the continuous silence over the report has created room for speculation, blame-shifting and divisions within the rank and file of the party. He warned that if not addressed, these developments could weaken efforts to reorganise and prepare for future elections.
“The Oquaye Report holds the truth. Once it is made public, nobody can misrepresent why the NPP lost the 2024 elections. Let us stop the speculations,” he stressed.
The call comes as the party continues internal reviews and discussions on how to regain public trust and reposition itself ahead of the next election cycle.
