The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has categorically denied the authenticity of alleged leaked excerpts from the report of the Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye Committee, describing them as “totally FAKE” and the work of political opponents bent on discrediting the party.

On his Facebook page, the NPP National Chief Scribe hinted that the NPP has not released any portion of the report to any individual or group, not even to officially recognized organs within the party.
He clarified that only one official copy of the report exists and that this singular document was submitted directly to the National Council through the National Chairman and General Secretary.
Lawyer Kudua noted that the party is currently reviewing the contents of the report internally. “If after studying the entire content of the Report, the Party deems it necessary to disclose aspects of the Report that are worthy of disclosure, the same will be done having regard to the best interest of the Party,” he stated.

Mr Kudua cautioned the public and party faithful against falling for fabricated statements or so-called direct quotes that are purportedly extracted from the report, stressing that any such claims should be “completely disregarded.”

The NPP General Secretary went further to accuse members and activists of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of being behind the alleged fabrications, stating that the move was part of a larger strategy to sow confusion within the NPP.

However, Kodua assured party members that such tactics would not derail the NPP’s focus on rebuilding and preparing to recapture power in the 2028 general elections. “Their strategy will not detract us from focusing on rebuilding our Party to recapture power in 2028 and beyond,” he concluded.

The Prof. Mike Oquaye Committee was established to investigate matters relating to recent internal party developments, particularly following the fallout from the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The controversy surrounding the alleged leak has sparked intense political debate online and across media platforms, with many awaiting an official release of the original document. However the party has indicated its unwillingness in releasing the document to the public or the media.
