Over 25 fire outbreaks recorded in Northern Region since 1 January 2025 – Fire Service

The National Fire Service in the northern region has recorded  over 25 fire cases in the first 12 days of January 2025, describing the trend as alarming.

Speaking on Tolon Radio Radio morning show Biegu Na Yo Tuesday, hosted by Suhuyini Shaharan,  the Northern Regional Fire Service PRO ADO 1, Mr Hudu Baba urged the public to handle fire and electrical appliances with caution and cooperate with firefighters during emergencies.

“I’m urging everyone to make it a responsibility upon ourselves to ensure that we can do our work very well. We are here to serve them, and they should always comply with us whenever there is a fire outbreak,” He said on the program

The Fire Service Public Relationship Officer call on the citizenry to adopt fire safety practices to help reduce the growing number of incidents.
