Journalists in the Northern Regions are grieving over the sudden death of their colleague Abdul Washiru Wash, Asaase FM Savannah Regional Correspondent.
Journalists were shocked with the announcement of the Asaase’s reporter death which occurs Saturday.
Most of them shared memories and encounters with Mr. Washiru before his departure, where some colleagues shared whatsapp messages with him on Friday.

Abdul Washiru has since been buried.
The CEO of Asase Radio Nenyi George Andah, wrote on the Asase facebook page:
It is with immense sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of Washiru Abdul-Tahiru’s passing.
Washiru was more than just a colleague—to many he he was a valued friend whose warmth, dedication, and presence touched us all deeply at Asaase Radio.
To his family, friends, and colleagues who worked closely with him, we stand with you in this painful moment, offering our deepest sympathies.
His loss is profound, but so is the legacy of kindness and commitment he leaves behind.
