The Member of Parliament for Tolon, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu has vowed to ensure that the area stands out in terms of all spheres of development as long as he remains the representative of the people.
The MP who doubles as the first deputy Minority Whip made this vow when he commissioned a Maternity Block for the Chirifoyili Community.
According to him, he has a blueprint as to where he wants the constituency to be in the next couple of years.
“I have a blueprint for this constituency; I know where I want this constituency to be in terms of development.
This place will be different from any other constituency in the Northern Region”, he stressed.
Speaking on the maternity block, Alhaji Iddrisu disclosed that this is the 4th out of the 6 he is constructing in the Tolon district.
“As a Member of Parliament, I decided to build this because my people need it.
Those that are being constructed by the district assembly are approved by the state but this and the others I am building are my own initiatives”, the deputy minority whip revealed.
A disease control officer who spoke on behalf of the midwife at the facility, Siisu Mohammed disclosed that block will provide a lot more privacy for pregnant women.
He said, “the main clinic does not have enough space to provide the privacy pregnant women need hence this facility will help them a lot”.
