The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the release of the 2025 school placement results for candidates who sat for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

In a statement signed by the Acting Deputy Director-General in charge of Quality and Access, Dr Munawaru Issahaque, all Regional Directors of Education have been directed to inform their respective District Directors and Heads of Schools about the release.

According to the GES, the placement process was conducted through the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), and all admissions for the 2025/2026 academic year must be based strictly on the official placement list.

Strict Admission Guidelines

The GES warns that no school should admit any student outside the official CSSPS list without prior written approval. Any unauthorised admissions, the statement noted, will attract administrative sanctions.

Regional and District Directors are also expected to supervise and monitor the admission process in their respective jurisdictions to ensure full compliance.

Reporting Date Set for October 18

Students under the 2025 CSSPS are expected to report to their assigned schools on Friday, October 18, 2025.

Heads of schools have been instructed to ensure a smooth registration process, following the guidelines provided by GES.

📌 How to Check Your School Placement

Students and parents can now check placement results online by following these simple steps:

1. Visit the official CSSPS portal:

2. Enter your 10-digit BECE Index Number, followed by the last two digits of the exam year.

Example: 100000000025 for 2025 candidates

3. Input your Date of Birth

4. Click “Sign In” to view and print your placement slip.
