Controversial rap artist, Yakubu Iddrisu Maltiti, popularly known as Double T has rubbished claims that he has always been jealous of his colleague Fancy Gadam’s success as a musician.
According to the rapper, his upbringing will not allow him to be envious of people who are seen to be doing better than him.
“I cannot be jealous of Fancy Gadam. I was raised by other people who were not my parents and the training that I got from that upbringing makes me content with what I have. If someone is doing better than me, I should not be jealous because it may be their turn today and mine later”, he told Afa Staph on the Katin Daabilgu program on Tolon Radio.
Double wondered why people would compare Fancy Gadam who is a singer to him when he is a rapper. “Fancy Gadam is a singer, and I am a rapper so why should we be compared”, he quizzed.
The Macassio Comparison
Touching on people comparing him with another rapper, Macassio, Double T said he started making music long before the former started.
“I started doing music long before Macassio started. When we were doing music, he had not started yet. At that time, Tuba Boster and Tap Tax were those doing music at Zolah”, he revealed.
