The Paramount Chief of the Woribogu Traditional Area, the Woribogu Lana, has expressed profound gratitude to Republic Bank Ghana for providing a solar-powered mechanized borehole to the people of Woribogu Dingoni in the Tolon District.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, the Chief described the project as a timely intervention that would significantly improve access to clean and safe drinking water for residents of the community.
Addressing community members and stakeholders, the Woribogu Lana urged the people of Woribogu Dingoni to take good care of the facility and ensure its proper maintenance. He emphasized that the borehole would help address the long-standing water challenges confronting the community and stressed that its sustainability depended on the collective responsibility of residents.
The Paramount Chief commended Republic Bank for extending such a life-changing project to his traditional area, noting that access to potable water is essential to the health, productivity, and well-being of the people. He praised the bank for its commitment to sustainable community development and for responding to the pressing needs of rural communities.
As a further demonstration of his support and appreciation, the Woribogu Lana pledged to allocate land to Republic Bank should the institution decide to establish a branch within the Tolon enclave in the future. He reaffirmed his readiness to collaborate with development partners and stakeholders to attract more interventions that would improve the living conditions of his people.
The Chief assured Republic Bank of the full support of the traditional authority and encouraged other organizations to emulate the bank’s example by investing in projects that positively impact local communities.
