The Member of Parliament for Savelugu Constituency, Hon. Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz, has issued a public notice warning her constituents about unscrupulous individuals who are using her name to solicit money from innocent people.
According to the MP, some unknown individuals have been contacting people via phone calls and WhatsApp messages, claiming to be acting on her behalf and requesting money for various reasons.
Hon. Fatahiya has clarified that she does not demand or receive money from anyone as a condition for offering support, assistance, or intervention.
The MP has urged members of the public to be cautious and report any suspicious calls or messages to the appropriate security agencies.
She also warned that technology has advanced rapidly, and criminals now employ sophisticated methods, including voice cloning and other forms of digital manipulation, to deceive people.
Hon. Fatahiya Abdul Aziz notice is a timely reminder for people to be vigilant and protect themselves from these types of scams. Citizens are advised to verify the authenticity of any requests for money or assistance and to report any suspicious activity or contact the relevant authorities.
