The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Friday, December 5, 2025, will be observed as a statutory public holiday in Ghana, marking the country’s annual Farmers’ Day celebration.
This year’s theme is “Eat Ghana, Grow Ghana, Secure the Future”.
The holiday is aimed at recognizing the significant contributions of Ghanaian farmers and fishers to national development, food security, and economic growth. Various events are expected to take place across the country, including exhibitions, forums, and award ceremonies to honor outstanding farmers, and to recognize farmers’ contributions to national development
The government encourages the public to participate in the celebrations and observe the holiday responsibly.
