Tamale Central MP, Tamale Mayor met over ‘strategic’ transformational development in Tamale

The MP for Tamale Central Professor Alidu Seidu and the Metropolitan Chief Executive for Tamale, Hon Alhaji Abubakari Adam Takoro held a strategic meeting today, Tuesday October 28,2025 to propel transformational development for the Tamale Central Constituency.

The meeting which took place at the office of the newly sworn-in Tamale Central MP in Parliament House was centered on accelerated development in the Tamale business district.

The two Tamale Leaders discussed the perennial water crisis in Tamale and the measures to put in place to ensure the water crisis become a thing of the past.

Prof Alidu at the meeting said, he will provide a number of mechanize boreholes for the people of Tamale Central, and again meet with Ghana Water Company to increase its water distribution within the Metropolis.

The Tamale Central MP announced that, he will soon support hospitals in the Tamale Central with some equipments to enhance their work, adding that, the hospitals will get a facelift to provide quality healthcare delivery services to the people of Tamale Central and beyond.

The discussion between the Tamale Central MP and Tamale Mayor also focused on youth development, employment, government initiatives, and partnerships to bring the needed development to Tamale.

Again, they discussed about security within the business district and how to keep sanity in the area.

The Tamale Mayor, Abu Takoro hinted that, the Metro Assembly has outlined its development priorities, and has since started working on those initiatives.

He said, the Assembly is also focusing on job creation, infrastructure development for the entire metropolis, reiterating that, the assembly will improve sanitation conditions in the metropolis.

The Tamale Mayor hinted that, the assembly is working very hard to achieve its revenue targets, thus to renovate and open up the markets for more businesses  to grow in the metropolis.

Alhaji Abu Takoro urged the Tamale Central MP, Professor Alidu Seidu to use his good office to support the Assembly’s programmes.
