Flagbearer hopefuls of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will today, Tuesday, 23, September, 2025 appear before the NPP’s vetting committee to be vetted for the party’s presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026.
The exercise is taking place at the party’s headquarters in Adabraka, Accra, under the supervision of a committee chaired by Dr. Addo Kufuor.
Information available to Tolon Radio indicates that, the committee will begin the vetting process with former NPP General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong, and later on vet the other 4 aspirants including former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, Abetifi MP Bryan Acheampong, and former Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.
The vetting is expected to be concluded today, according to the NPP Vetting Committee.
