The Member of Parliament for Karaga, Hon. Mohammed Amin Adam Anta has disbursed financial assistance to 232 tertiary students from his constituency through the Anta Educational Fund.
A total amount of three hundred and forty-five thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS 345,000 00) was disbursed to the beneficiaries.
Today’s disbursement is the fifth since the inception of the fund in 2021 and a total of 1300 tertiary students have benefited from the fund so far.
The presentation ceremony whcih was held at the Karaga Community Centre, drawn beneficiaries from universities and colleges across the country, who received varying amounts depending on their programmes of study.
The disbursement of the funds was done by Alhaji Halim Tikumah, special aide to the Karaga MP.
Alhaji Tikumah on behalf of the Karaga legislator assured the constituents of his committed to deliver the needed development in all sectors including health, education, roads, agric and job creation.
He reaffirmed the Karaga MP commitment to support education in the area, stressing that “education is a right and not a privilege”.
Mr Halim Tikumah added that every young person deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education regardless of their background and admonished the beneficiaries of the fund to study hard for the betterment of the entire Karaga Constituency.
Beneficiaries of the fund expressed their profound gratitude to the Karaga Member of Parliament, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam for reducing their parents financial burden.
The students again describe the support as timely relief that would enable them to continue their education.
Parents and community leaders also commended Hon. Amin Adam for sustaining the Anta Educational Fund, saying it is helping to break the cycle of poverty and empower the next generation.
