Ghana to reopen embassy in Tehran

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the reopening of the Ghanaian Embassy in Tehran, Iran.

The Tehran office will begin operations on 16th September, 2025.

The Ministry on 16th June, 2025 closed the Ghana embassy in Tehran during a heightened tension between Israel and Iran.

According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the closure of the Tehran office was to provide safety for Ghanaians in Iran.
