One the of leading contenders of the NDC Tamale Central primary, Princess Naama Salifu Lagfu has pledged her commitment to continue the development initiatives and legacy of the late Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, should she be elected as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the September 30 by-election.
In a statement after picking her nomination forms, Princess Naama, the daughter of the late Yali Zoli Lan Lagfu Salifu, underscored her readiness to uphold the traditions of the NDC while engaging with constituents across Dagbon and beyond.
She said her experience as an Assistant Consular with the Ghana Foreign Service, where she supported missions in Niger, had prepared her adequately to represent the people of Tamale Central both locally and internationally.
“These experiences have equipped me to serve effectively and to engage on behalf of Tamale Central,” she noted.
The Electoral Commission has scheduled September 30 for the by-election following the passing of Dr. Murtala Mohammed earlier this month.
