Making the announcement in a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Finance Minister Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson revealed that President John Dramani Mahama’s administration is committed to boosting cocoa production and improving the livelihoods of cocoa farmers across the country.
According to the Minister, the package for the 2025/2026 season includes:
Free cocoa fertilisers (both liquid and granular), Free insecticides,Free spraying machines, Free fungicides, and Free flower inducers.
Hon. Ato Forson urged farmers to use these farm inputs responsibly and exclusively for cocoa farming to enhance yields and maximise income.
“The government strongly advises cocoa farmers to apply these inputs solely to improve cocoa yield and their income,” he stated.
The programme’s reintroduction will significantly reduce the production cost burden on farmers and improve Ghana’s cocoa output in the global market.
