The National Police Training School had 1,194 new police recruits pass out in a grand ceremony, marking the beginning of their careers in law enforcement in the country.

The passing-out parade was attended by families, friends, and top government officials, including the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak. Addressing the newly trained officers, the Minister urged them to uphold the highest standards of discipline, professionalism, and service to the nation.

“You are joining a noble service. Uphold the law with fairness and protect citizens without fear or favour. Ghana needs your commitment, not just your uniform,” he said.

The event featured precision drills and a strong display of physical endurance, reflecting the intensive training the recruits had undergone.

Outstanding recruits were celebrated for their exceptional performance. General Recruit Abuga Bernabise was named Best in Physical Training and received a 32-inch television set along with a GH¢10,000 insurance cover from Enterprise Insurance.

General Recruit Francis Anochi Kwodua picked up the Best in Drill award and was presented with a GH¢1,000 cash prize and a commemorative plaque.

The prestigious Overall Best Cadet (Academics) award went to PW/Recruit Sophia Elikplim Dedjoe, who walked away with a 32-inch TV, a tabletop refrigerator, GH¢1,000 cash, and a GH¢10,000 insurance package.

The parade grounds came alive with celebration as the recruits marched for the last time as trainees, officially stepping into their roles as protectors of law and order.

As they move forward as security officers, they carry not only their badges but also the expectations of a nation counting on them to serve with honour, justice, and dedication.
