We recorded zero incidents of malpractice in this year’s BECE- Northern Regional Education Directorate

The Northern Regional Education Directorate has announced that, they have not recorded any incident of exam malpractices in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which ended today, Wednesday 18th June 2025.

A total of 35,893 candidates from 769 schools in the Northern Region comprising of 18,647 males and 17,246 females took part in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) this year, started on Wednesday June 11th, 2025.

In a press release issued today, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the Northern Regional Education Directorate congratulated the candidates for their endurance, discipline, and dedication throughout the examination period.

“We express our sincere appreciation to all stakeholders whose contributions ensured a smooth and peaceful conduct of the exams”. The release stated

“We are especially grateful to the media houses and journalists across the Northern Region for their professional coverage, timely information dissemination, and public education on examination conduct and policies. Your role in promoting transparency, accountability, and awareness among the public is deeply appreciated. We look forward to your continued collaboration in advancing quality education in the region”. It added
