The Northern Regional Minister, Hon. Ali Adolf John Mburudiba, has assured the public of a smooth and secure Hajj pilgrimage this year after inspecting the Hajj Village in Tamale today.

The minister, accompanied by members of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC), toured the facilities designated to host Ghanaian pilgrims ahead of their departure to Mecca this year. The visit comes in preparation for the first scheduled airlift of pilgrims, set for Saturday, May 10, 2025.

During the tour, the Minister received a detailed briefing from Sheikh Abdul Samii Issah, a representative of the Hajj Board. He outlined the logistical and security arrangements in place, including accommodation and transportation, aimed at ensuring the comfort and safety of all pilgrims.

“All systems are ready,” Sheikh Abdul Samii stated. “We are set to begin the airlifting process smoothly on Saturday.”

The minister, Hon. Ali Adolf, expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Hajj Board and praised the strong collaboration between the Board, the Northern Regional Coordinating Council (NRCC), and REGSEC.

“The Northern Regional Coordinating Council and REGSEC fully support this noble effort,” he said. “We are committed to ensuring a peaceful and successful pilgrimage for all this year and beyond.” He noted.

The Minister, Hon Ali Adolf, emphasised that the visit reflects the commitment of President John Dramani Mahama to safeguarding the welfare of pilgrims and reducing the challenges associated with the Hajj process.
