The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Savannah Region, led by Regional Chairman Professor Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalmonia, has extended warm congratulations to the newly elected National Executives of the Gonjaland Youth Association (GLYA) following their successful election during the association’s 49th National Congress held in Sawla.

In an official statement signed by the Regional Communications Director, Mr. Frederick Tahidu, the party expressed confidence in the leadership of Mr. Alhassan Darison, who now heads the association. The NPP described his team as “promising and capable of steering the affairs of the GLYA to greater heights.”

“We are optimistic that the Alhassan Darison-led team will deliver excellence to the admiration of all Gonjalanders,” the statement noted.

The party also acknowledged the efforts of all candidates, including those who were not successful in the elections, applauding their dedication and commitment throughout the process. It urged both victors and contenders to collaborate in unity for the progress of the Gonjaland kingdom.

The NPP further encouraged the new GLYA executives to uphold the principles of fairness, impartiality, and transparency in their leadership.

As part of its message, the party appealed to its supporters and the general public to rally behind the new leadership to advance the development agenda of Gonjaland.

Reaffirming its commitment to the region, the NPP stressed that development should be pursued devoid of partisan politics and called on all stakeholders, including its members and the GLYA leadership, to work together for the betterment of the Savannah Region.
