The Member of Parliament for Karaga Constituency and former Minister for Finance, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, has officially handed over a newly constructed ICT Centre to the Pishigu community. The facility was presented to the school’s headmistress and the chief of Pishigu as part of efforts to enhance digital literacy among students.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, the District Education Director and District Coordinator emphasized the significance of technology in modern education. “The world is rapidly going digital, and every child must have the opportunity to learn IT,” he stated, highlighting the need for students to acquire essential digital skills.
The headmistress of the school expressed her gratitude and assured the community that the facility would be well-maintained and used effectively to benefit students.
The ICT Centre, which includes a fully equipped computer lab along with toilet and urinal facilities, is part of Dr. Amin Adam’s broader initiative to improve educational infrastructure in the constituency.
This initiative aligns with the MP’s ongoing efforts to bridge the digital divide and provide students in rural areas with access to quality ICT education.
