Former President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Edward Abambire Bawa as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
Bawa, a seasoned energy expert and former Member of Parliament, brings extensive experience in energy policy and governance to the role. His leadership is expected to tackle challenges in oil exploration, revenue management, and Ghanaโs energy transition while ensuring GNPC’s continued contribution to the economy.
This appointment takes effect on 17th January as stated in the appointment letter signed by the secretary to the president Mr Callistus Mahama PhD.
