On Tuesday, 7th January 2025, the Ghana Police Service extended its heartfelt gratitude to the general public for their understanding and cooperation during the swearing-in ceremony of the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and Vice President, Her Excellency Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

The event, held in Accra, necessitated temporary road closures and traffic diversions to ensure the smooth running of activities. The Police particularly applauded the motoring public for their patience and adherence to traffic management protocols, which played a crucial role in maintaining order throughout the day.

In a statement, the Police reiterated their unwavering commitment to upholding peace, security, and law and order across the country. They also called for the continuous support of citizens to foster a safe and harmonious environment for all.

As the nation celebrates this significant milestone, the Ghana Police Service remains dedicated to serving the people and ensuring that public safety remains a top priority.
