The president elect HE. John Dramani Mahama has, in consultation with the national executive and parliamentary leadership of the national democratic Congress (NDC), mandated the nomination of the Right Honourable Alban Suman Kingsford Bangbin as the speaker of the 9th Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
In a letter dated Sunday, January 06, 2025,, and signed by the special Aide to the president Felix Kwakye Ofosu, The president-elect is convinced that under the leadership of the Right Honourable Alban Suman Kingsford Bangbin, Ghana’s parliament will be further strengthened to deliver effectively on its oversight responsibility.
