The Member of Parliament for Gushegu Constituency, Hon. Alhassan S. Tampuli, has presented five motorbikes each to the Municipal Directorates of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS) in Gushegu to enhance their monitoring and supervisory work across the constituency.
The presentation took place at the Gushegu Community Center, where the MP expressed profound appreciation to the leadership, staff, teachers, and health professionals for their dedication and selfless service.
He acknowledged the vast geographical size of the constituency, noting that the motorbikes would significantly ease transportation challenges faced by field officers, particularly in reaching remote communities.
As part of the same engagement, Hon. Tampuli also donated 1,225 mathematical sets to the Municipal Director of GES, Mr. Lawrence Iddrisu, for onward distribution to candidates preparing to sit for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
He extended his best wishes to the candidates and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education and healthcare delivery in the area. The Municipal Directors of GES and GHS, Mr. Lawrence Iddrisu and Mr. George Abraham respectively, expressed gratitude for the gesture and assured the MP that the motorbikes would be properly maintained to serve their intended purpose over the long term.
Following the presentation, the MP visited communities recently affected by conflict, including Bosum No.1, Pabuni, Nagnani, Jimbali, and Tindong, to express his sympathies and encourage peaceful coexistence. The clashes, which stemmed from a chieftaincy dispute, led to the imposition of curfew in some areas. To support rebuilding efforts, Hon. Tampuli donated 60 bags of cement and 30 packets of roofing sheets to affected residents, urging them to embrace non-violent approaches to conflict resolution and work towards lasting peace in the constituency.
