The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has instructed all heads of government institutions to nullify appointments made by the previous Akufo-Addo administration after December 7, 2024.

Mr. Debrah emphasized that such appointments and recruitments in the Public Services of Ghana do not align with established principles of good governance.

“In line with the government’s position on appointments and recruitments made towards the end of an administration’s tenure, I wish to bring to your attention that all such engagements after December 7, 2024, are not in accordance with recognized governance practices,” he stated.

He, therefore, directed all heads of government institutions to take the necessary steps to annul these appointments and submit a detailed report on the actions taken to his office by February 17, 2025.

“Your cooperation in this matter is highly appreciated,” he added.
