The Electrochem Ghana Limited warehouse in the Sege and Ada communities has been the target of an alarming break-in.
A report by Channel 1 indicates that a group of individuals associated with the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) forcefully entered the facility, making away with valuable assets belonging to the company.
According to Mr Abdul Razak Adams, the CEO of Electrochem Ghana Limited, the stolen items include mobile pump machines, motorbikes, air conditioners, salt, and other equipment worth millions of dollars.
Speaking to Channel 1 report, Mr Adams expressed grave concern about the scale of the theft and its implications for the company:
“They broke into our warehouse and took away a lot of mobile pumping machines. They seized a couple of motorbikes, they took away air conditioners, and they started stealing salt worth millions of dollars. We are being told that this is not the end”
The CEO further called on President John Dramani Mahama and relevant authorities to intervene urgently to prevent further losses and ensure justice is served.
