The Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Hajia Samira Bawumia on Wednesday paid homage to the Paramount Chief of Tolon Traditional Area, Major Rtd Abubakari Sulemana at his palace.
The wife of the Vice President was on a campaign tour ofย the Northern Region to meet with her compatriots the Fulbe (Fulani) Communities.
Mrs Bawumia informed the Tolon Naa of her mission and thus seeks for his blessings and permission to interact with her people in the Fulbe communities.
She also used the opportunity to formally inform the paramount Chief of Tolon of her husband’s candidature as the NPP flagbearer in the 2024 presidential elections.
Hajia Samira intimated that the very critical underlying reason of her visit was to plead with the chief to extend prayers and well wishes to her husband to emerge victorious at the polls.
The Paramount Chief of Tolon, Major Rtd Abubakari Sulemana welcoming the Second Lady to the palace touched on some political historical evidence that has created a bond of relationships between the palace and the Vice President’s family, saying that, the historical bond can be likened to the umbilical cord that bonds a foetus to the mother.
Naa Nyeb Tolon Naa also assured her of his resolve to do his best in his prayers to seek divine intervention for Dr. Bawumia to be victorious in the December 7 Elections.
He again promise to ensure that the election shall be free from any form of violence within his jurisdiction.
