The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced plans to undertake a nationwide revenue mobilisation exercise starting Monday, June 16, through Friday, June 27, 2025. The initiative is aimed at recovering unpaid bills from customers across all sectors.

In a public statement released on Wednesday, ECG stated that the exercise will target customers in arrears, including residential users, commercial and industrial entities, as well as Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

The company emphasised that the exercise will be strictly monitored by special teams tasked with ensuring compliance. These teams have been given the mandate to apprehend and prosecute any individuals who obstruct the process or engage in illegal self-reconnection after disconnection.

“Customers with arrears are advised to settle their bills promptly to avoid disconnection and additional reconnection fees,” the statement warned.

According to the statement, to make payment easier, ECG is encouraging customers to use digital platforms such as the ECG Mobile App, which is available on the Google Play Store. Customers can also reach out to the ECG Contact Centre via 0302 611611 or engage through the company’s official social media platforms for assistance.
