The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the National Fire Service in the Northern Region, ADO 1 Hudu Baba, has strongly denied allegations of selling water meant for fire-fighting purposes.
Speaking on Tolon Radio during a interview with Mr Suhuyini Shaharan, ADO 1 Hudu clarified that the Fire Service does not, under any circumstances, sell fire-fighting water. He explained that the water used in firefighting operations is strictly allocated for emergencies and essential services, not for commercial purpose
“Whenever you see the fire service carrying water into any household, it’s the water company that will collect the money; we only serve other government institutions like the Metro Assembly, the Tamale Teaching Hospital, and some senior high schools,” ADO 1 Hudu stated.
He emphasized that the Fire Service plays a crucial role in protecting lives and property and urged the public to desist from spreading false information that could undermine their operations.
