The Executive Secretary of Anchoring Democracy Advocacy Movement-Ghana (ADAM-GH), Mr Azubila Emmanuel Abdul-Salam, has warned appointees of President Mahama to be extra careful with the way they go about their duties in both private and public, reiterating that, there is a looming smear campaign to discredit government appointees and leading figures within the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a statement shared on social media, Mr. Azubila alleged that individuals affiliated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are plotting to release compromising materials, including sex tapes and orchestrate setups such as poisoning and robbery, in a bid to embarrass the NDC administration and its top officials.
He asserted that, the NDC Communications Officer, Mr Sammy Gyamfi is a primary target, claiming that the recent viral video of Mr Sammy gifting some dollars to Nana Agradaa was a plot against him.
“Sammy is very lucky,” Azubila wrote, stating that the intention was to destroy Gyamfi’s political future.
The ADAM-GH Executive Secretary also alleged that certain NDC officials have unknowingly become involved with NPP-linked individuals and are already under threat, with three said to be featured in undisclosed sex videos.
Mr Azubila accused some NPP businessmen of seeking revenge after their alleged illegal gold trade was disrupted by the NDC gold board policies. He further claimed that the NPP, though in opposition, remains financially stronger due to past “massive looting,” and is using this advantage to fund destabilising tactics.
He urged national security agencies to probe recent fire outbreaks, which he suspects are part of a coordinated attempt to add financial strain on the current administration.
“No one is safe,” he warned, urging all NDC appointees to exercise caution. “You can do ‘father for all,’ but be careful not to fall into their traps.” he concluded
