Kplinyin Junior High School in the Kumbungu District held a grand event to showcase plans to elevate the school to new heights. The event, which took place on 22nd-12-2025 highlighted the school’s pressing needs and garnered support from stakeholders.
During the program, Headmaster Abdul Aziz outlined the challenges facing the school, including a shortage of chairs, lack of a computer laboratory, science laboratory, library, and inadequate classroom blocks. However, the mood turned jubilant when Honorable Ibrahim Suhudoo, the Assembly Member for Bogu-Paligu Electoral Area, announced plans to support the school with chairs through the District Assembly.
As an old student, former teacher, and current Assembly Member, Honorable Suhudoo assured the school community that Kplinyin Junior High is fifth on the list to receive chairs. He pledged to ensure the chairs reach the school when available.
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and School Management Committee (SMC) also demonstrated their commitment to the students’ comfort and education by donating 50 chairs to the school. Ataaya Base in Kplinyin community contributed GHยข300, while the 2017 badge for Kplinyin Junior High School donated GHยข250.
Headmaster Abdul Aziz expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors, acknowledging the positive impact of their contributions. He also informed the gathering about plans to celebrate the school’s 30th anniversary in 2027 and appealed for continued support from stakeholders, including political and local authorities, NGOs, old students, and individuals who can help uplift the school.
The students as part of their joy and gratitude, exhibits exceptional talents in poetry and local dances. The event marked a significant step towards addressing the school’s challenges and fostering a conducive learning environment for its students.
