Residents of Zenyei in the Karaga Constituency have expressed their profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament for Karaga  Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam Anta, for improving their living conditions through the provision of electricity and clean water.

Speaking to Tolon Radio’s News Editor, Hamza Lansah Lolly, a resident, Madam Memuna on behalf of Zenyei women, recounted how the community used to endure severe hardships before the MP’s interventions.

“He (Dr. Amin Adam) gave us electricity and water, we were suffering a lot but when Anta became our MP, our sufferings has reduced . We use to go to the bush to fetch water…we were having problems with electricity, and used to go to Tong and other communities to grind out cereals but now we electricity and grinding-mail ….we have everything thing and life is better now”. She said

Madam Memuna added that things have changed remarkably since the community was connected to the national grid, “we are indeed very blessed to have Dr. Anta as our MP” She added

“Today, our story has changed. We now have running water through pipes and stable electricity throughout the community. When we return from the farm tired, we no longer have to walk long distances to search for water,  we have taps right behind our houses,” she hinted with wide smile

She further indicated that the availability of consistent electricity has improved their small-scale businesses, including grinding of cereals and other income-generating activities.

Some Zenyei residents in an interview also described Dr. Amin Anta’s interventions as life-changing, saying, the MP’s benevolence and initiatives brought comfort and development to their doorstep.
