Former Akuapem North Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has fiercely criticised what he describes as a dangerous and unjustified midnight raid on the home of Sir Obama Pokuase by state security operatives.

In a Facebook post, Mr. Aboagye accused the operatives of breaking into the residence “like armed robbers” in the middle of the night, warning that such actions threaten not only the target but the safety of all citizens.

“When the state security breaks into your home like armed robbers, that’s a big problem. If you need to conduct a search, visit his home with a warrant, enter sensibly, and do your work even if it includes an arrest. But surely, breaking into somebody’s home in the middle of the night in this manner is a danger not just to Sir Obama but to the entire citizenry,” he wrote.

He cautioned that a startled resident could easily mistake such an intrusion for an armed robbery and respond in self-defence, possibly triggering a national tragedy.

Calling the incident “more like an assassination attempt” and “senseless,” Mr. Aboagye urged the authorities to immediately halt such operations.

In a defiant closing remark, he declared:

“Stop this already. We survived a military rule under your ancestors and we will survive this too.” He noted
