Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has hailed the 7th AU-EU Summit as a watershed moment in the evolution of a partnership that promises to reshape the destiny of two continents. The historic gathering, which concluded in Luanda, has left an indelible mark on Africa’s quest for growth and development.

Delivering a powerful message of hope and optimism, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang underscored the summit’s unequivocal message: “Africa seeks a partnership of equals, one that acknowledges its aspirations, amplifies the value of its natural resources, fortifies its institutions, and expedites the metamorphosis of its economies. The Luanda deliberations have yielded a resounding commitment from Africa and Europe to co-create a paradigm shift, one that is future-focused, results-driven, and responsive to the yearnings of the people”

With clarity of purpose and an unmistakable sense of cooperation, the AU-EU Summit has forged a bold new path, one that eschews the shackles of the past and embraces a future of limitless possibilities.

The stage is set for a transformative partnership that will deliver tangible, measurable, and meaningful results, uplifting the lives of millions and cementing the bonds of friendship between Africa and Europe.

As the curtain falls on Luanda, the baton has been passed to the architects of a new era, one that will be shaped by the collective endeavors of visionary leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders committed to forging a brighter, more prosperous future for generations to come.
