The Tamale Metropolitan Assembly has gotten a strategic investor to invest into the Datoyili Bus Terminal.
The investor, Mulch Company Ghana Limited has since indicated its readiness to invest into the project.
The project was constructed by the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly (TaMA) in 2015 with GHc1.9 million funding from the World Bank under the Urban Development Grant (UDG).
Bus terminal which was furnished with auxiliary facilities such as parking lodges, drivers resting rooms, washrooms, passengers stands and security lodge is now in its dilapidated state.
The Mayor of Tamale, Hon. Abu Takoro, earlier today, Friday, October 31, 2025, led officials of the company to the site to inspect the facility and discuss areas of possible collaboration.
The visit, according to the Mayor, forms part of efforts by the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly to attract private sector participation in the development of key urban infrastructure.
Hon. Abu Takoro expressed optimism that the partnership will help modernise the Datoyili Bus Terminal, improve transportation services, and create jobs for the youth.
Officials of Mulch Company Ghana Limited commended the Assembly for its proactive approach and assured them of their commitment to support the city’s infrastructure agenda.
The proposed investment, when realised, is expected to enhance mobility and contribute to economic growth in the Tamale Metropolis.
