The Member of Parliament for Savulegu constituency, Hon Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz, earlier today paid a working visit to the Savelugu Municipal Ghana Education Service (GES) office as part of her ongoing efforts to support education in the constituency.
The visit, according to the MP, aimed to foster closer collaboration with education stakeholders and to better understand preparations ahead of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). During her engagement, the MP reaffirmed her commitment to education, particularly at the basic level.
As part of her visit, Hon Hajia Fatahiya made a donation of Mathematical Sets to all 40 Junior High Schools within the municipality. The sets are expected to support the candidates as they gear up for the exams.
Some of the schools where she symbolically presented the items include Savelugu Girls Model JHS, Savelugu Experimental JHS, Savelugu M/A ‘A’ and ‘B’, Rawdatul Atfal, Diare Annex ‘A’ and ‘B’, Rajia JHS, and Diare JHS ‘A’ and ‘B’.
Addressing the students, Hajia Fatahiya encouraged the candidates to remain confident, focused, and determined. “The future belongs to you,” she said, “and with hard work, it will be brighter than you can imagine.”
She also called on the community to continue working together to create an enabling environment where every child in Savelugu has the tools and opportunities to succeed especially the girl child.
