The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Savelugu Constituency, Hon. Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz, on Tuesday, paid a working visit to the newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Alhassan Fuseini.

The visit formed part of the MP’s ongoing “Thank You Tour” across the constituency following her victory in the 2024 elections.

Hon. Fatahiya described the occasion as a moment to extend her warm congratulations to the MCE on his appointment and confirmation, while reinforcing a shared commitment to the progress and development of Savelugu.

“Unity is the foundation of progress,” the MP emphasised. “This is just the beginning. With your continued prayers, partnership, and unity, we will rise together.”

Hon Fatahiya underscored the importance of collaboration between the MP’s office, the municipal assembly, and other key stakeholders, stating that such synergy would be critical to sustainable development in the constituency.

In addition to her meeting with the MCE, Hon. Fatahiya held engagements with various community leaders and grassroots supporters. Among them were the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Council of Elders, youth groups, and the vibrant Sugulini Base. She also interacted with market women and other constituents, thanking them for their unwavering support throughout the last electoral period.

“To the market women whose strength sustains our local economy, and to the energetic youth whose passion gives Savelugu hope, I say, thank you,” she said. “This victory belongs not to one individual, but to all of us.”

Hon Fatahiya Abdul Aziz was accompanied by the Constituency Chairman of NPP, Alhassan Shani, popularly known as Japanese, as well as party executives and a team of dedicated volunteers.

The visit further cements Hon. Fatahiya Abdul Aziz’s pledge to remain close to her constituents, listen to their needs, and deliver on her promise of inclusive development and opportunity for all.
