President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Sammy Gyamfi, NDC Communications Officer, as the Acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC). In this role, Mr. Gyamfi will oversee the establishment of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), a key NDC manifesto promise aimed at revitalizing Ghana’s economy.
The GoldBod will manage and market Ghana’s gold resources, formalize small-scale mining, and provide support services to the sector.
Mr. Gyamfi, a lawyer and Economic Policy Analyst with degrees in Environmental Science and Law from KNUST, brings valuable expertise to this role. His leadership is expected to advance sustainable gold management and boost economic growth under the Mahama administration.
