Hajia Samira Buwumia, the second Lady of Ghana has commissioned a newly built ultra-modern health insurance office in the Savelugu Municipality of the Northern Region.

The Second Lady was joined by the NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Savelugu Constituency Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz and the CEO of NHIS Dr. DaCosta Aboagye to open the health insurance office, Thurday.

Speaking at the gathering, NPP PC for Savelugu Hajia Fatahiya hinted that she lobbied for the health insurance office to be constructed in the area adding that, the health insurance office will enhance timely, effective and quality health care delivery in the constituency.

“Out of the 10 new offices built across Ghana, I lobbied through Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the CEO to ensure that Savelugu received one. We also recently commissioned a new community center and broke ground for the construction of an astroturf, improved roads, water systems and more. The health of our people is a priority and we are committed to bringing healthcare access closer to their doorstep. If given the opportunity, I will do even more”. She emphasized

She said, the NPP government has introduced free NHIS registration for the elderly and pregnant women.

“And as part of my commitment to enhancing healthcare in the constituency, I will be registering new NHIS cards and renewing expired ones for approximately 1,000 people across various communities in the constituency”. She hinted

Madam Fatahia urged the constituents to vote massively for her and Dr. Bawumia on 7th December to continue to bring development and progress to the constituency.
