The President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has directed the Lands Commission to immediately stop selling state lands and submit a detailed report on all recent transactions involving public lands within 14 days.

This decision, according to the letter issued, aims to ensure transparency and accountability in land administration, addressing public concerns about the potential misuse of national assets. By reviewing recent transactions, the directive seeks to identify any irregularities and promote responsible management of public resources.

In a letter signed by the secretary to the president Mr Callistus Mahama ph.D, the statement said this directive had been issued to protect and preserve state and public land for the collective benefit of the Ghanaian citizen and future generations.
