The Eastern North Regional Police Command has arrested two women in connection with the possession of a large quantity of substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
The suspects, Hawa Ibrahim and Latifa Adams, were apprehended on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, during an intelligence-led operation conducted at Antokrom.
According to the police, a thorough search at the residence of Hawa Ibrahim resulted in the discovery of twenty-four maxi bags, containing a total of 1,650 slabs of compressed and ball-shaped substances believed to be narcotic drugs.
Both suspects are currently in police custody and are assisting with ongoing investigations.
According to police sources, the suspects will be processed and put before the court to face charges under the law.
The Eastern North Regional Command has reiterated its commitment to fighting drug-related crimes and urged the public to continue providing timely and accurate information to support law enforcement efforts.
