The Paramount Chief of Nyankpala Traditional Area, Naa Dachee Nyankpalana Ibrahim Mahama, has issued a stern warning to drug pushers and users in the area to cease their illicit activities or face severe consequences.
In an exclusive interview on Tolon Radio’s current affairs show Yeltoga Kpanjog, he threatened to seize properties belonging to those involved in the drug trade if they don’t stop.
This move demonstrates the Chief’s commitment to combating drug abuse and trafficking in the Nyankpala Traditional Area. The warning comes amid growing concerns about the rising use of illicit drugs among youths in the region.
The Chief’s stance is expected to support efforts to address Ghana’s escalating substance abuse crisis, particularly among young people. Other traditional leaders have also spoken out against drug abuse, emphasizing the need for collective action to protect youth.
