The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has condemned recent acts of violence, vandalism, and lawlessness attributed to individuals linked to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a statement signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the NPP urged President John Dramani Mahama to publicly denounce these actions and take immediate steps to restore peace and stability.
“The NPP calls on President John Dramani Mahama to demonstrate true leadership by publicly condemning these acts and taking immediate steps to restore order. Silence and inaction only deepen the crisis and embolden wrongdoers.
We also urge the security agencies, particularly the IGP, to act professionally and impartially in addressing these issues. Ghanaians must stand united, with traditional leaders, civil society, and the diplomatic community joining in condemning these shameful acts”.
This call comes after a series of attacks on government agencies, individuals and companies including Electrochem Ghana Limited warehouse by some individuals who are believed to be members of the NDC.
