President John Dramani Mahama has nominated another batch of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) for approval, marking an important step in his administration’s efforts to reform local governance.
In accordance with the Local Governance Act (Act 936), the President has directed coordinating officials to temporarily assume the duties of MMDCEs until the new appointments are confirmed. This move is intended to maintain stability and ensure continuity within the local government structure
