The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that funds have been released by the Ministry of Finance for the payment of allowances to its temporary staff across the country.

In a letter signed by EC Chairperson Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Commission expressed appreciation to its temporary workers for their patience and cooperation, assuring them that all outstanding allowances will be paid by Friday, June 20, 2025.

“We are pleased to inform you that the Ministry of Finance has today, Thursday, 12th of June, 2025, released funds for the payment of Temporary Staff. The Commission is working around the clock to ensure that payments are made promptly,” the statement read.

The news comes as a relief to many temporary workers who supported the Commission during recent electoral activities and had been awaiting their due compensation.

The EC reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of all staff and thanked them once again for their dedication and service to the nation.
