The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has clarified that the recent deployment of military personnel to the Grand Arena was at the request of the Speaker of Parliament for routine security checks, debunking claims that they were sent to interfere with parliamentary proceedings.

In a press release issue and signed by the Director General Public Affairs Brigadier General E. Aggrey-Quashie urges the public and media to disregard any false reports and to promote responsible journalism.
