In a powerful and passionate address that has stirred the political landscape, Alhaji Mohammed Naporo Parara, the current Youth Organizer for the Mion Constituency and a hopeful for the Northern Regional Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has publicly condemned the violence and chaos that marred the recent rerun of elections in 19 polling stations in the Ablekuma North Constituency.

The incident, characterized by well-orchestrated attacks allegedly carried out by known NDC-affiliated machomen, took place in the presence of the Ghana Police Service who, to the dismay of many, appeared helpless in the face of the violence. “I couldn’t believe the well-calculated violent attacks orchestrated… in the full glare of the Police Service,” Parara said in his statement. “This doesn’t speak well of the democratic dispensation we live in.”

His condemnation is not just an emotional reaction, but a clarion call to protect Ghana’s hard-won democratic reputation. Parara emphasized the danger of allowing such violence to fester unchecked, warning that it could undermine the image of Ghana both within Africa and on the global stage.

Beyond the condemnation, Parara’s message resonated with ambition and vision. As a committed member of the NPP and someone who aspires to elevate the youth agenda in the Northern Region, he used the moment to declare his intent to contest for the position of Northern Regional Youth Organizer. In preparation for this, Parara revealed that he has consulted with several key figures within the party, including the respected Alhaji Inusah, Northern Regional Commander of the Invisible Forces, and other youth leaders across the region.

“My goal,” he noted, “is to strengthen the base and the Youth Wing of the Party going into the 2028 election, with the involvement of all who may, in one way or another, have lost hope.”

Parara’s message was one of unity, hope, and mobilization. With a sharp eye on the future, he pledged to work in close collaboration with the Party’s Flagbearer, the National Youth Organizer, and all regional and constituency youth leaders to build a solid, strategic, and energetic youth front for the party.

“This is the time for us to reignite and rekindle the spirit of unity, hope, and great collaboration,” he said, promising to deliver not only energy and leadership, but also meaningful inclusion for youth groups when the party returns to power.

In a rousing conclusion, Parara called on NPP members and sympathizers across the nation not to lose hope despite the difficult political climate under the NDC-led administration. “Let’s unite, focus, and believe in the can-do spirit as a Party that upholds the sanctity of our democracy,” he said.

As political tensions mount and the country looks toward 2028, voices like that of Alhaji Mohammed Naporo Parara serve as a reminder that leadership is not only about ambition, but also about vision, courage, and the relentless pursuit of justice, peace, and progress.

I write to openly condemn in no uncertain terms the violence, thuggery, and the chaotic situation characterized by the rerun of 19 polling stations in the Ablekuma North Constituency.

In fact, I couldn’t believe the well-calculated violence attacks orchestrated by known NDC Machomen in the full glare of the Security agency, i.e, the Police Service.

Unfortunately, the Police were helpless and allowed these hoodlums to beat some of our leaders and members, which doesn’t speak well of the democratic dispensation we live in.

Further, this singular incident, if not checked and nipped in the bud and allowed to fester, will go a long way to tarnish and destroy the image of Ghana and our growing democracy in Africa and beyond.

As the current Youth Organizer of Mion Constituency and someone who aspires to lead the Northern Regional Youth Wing of the Party. What happened in Ablekuma North is an indication of the huge task ahead of us to mobilize and reenergize the base of our Party.

With this in mind, I have personally consulted widely and met with the Starwalt of the Party and some of the Youth Group leaders, especially Alhaji Inusah (Northern Regional commander of Invisible forces) before the declaration of my intent to lead the Northern Regional Youth Wing of the NPP.

This is to strengthen the base and the Youth Wing of the Party going into the 2028 election with the involvement of all who may, in one way or another, have lost hope.

Moving forward, we cannot afford to let the Youth and members of our beloved Party down, and this is the time for us to reignite and rekindle the spirit of unity, hope, and great collaboration.

I wholeheartedly pledge, once given the nod to lead the Northern Regional Youth Wing of the Party, to collaborate and strategize with the Party’s Flagbearer, National Youth Organizer and all the 16 regional youth organizers, National Organizer and all the 16 regional organizers who happens to be the heads of operations team, Constituency Youth Organizers, and polling station Youth Organizers to champion an effective Youth front and also come to terms and agreement for future benefits of our powerful youth groups when we win power.

In conclusion, I urge all our members in the Region and across the Country not to lose hope and continue to remain resolute in these trying times under the NDC government. We will definitely collaborate with all the Top youth groups of our Great party across the nation to work together and stop this unwarranted and lawless Intimidations.

Let’s unite, focus, and believe in the can-do spirit as a Party that upholds the sanctity of our democracy.

Alhaji Mohammed Naporo Parara, Mion Constituency Youth Organizer and Northern Regional Youth Organizer Hopeful.

Long live Ghana!

Long live NPP!
